Blogger is a free blog hosting platform. Connect your Blogger site with your domain by following the steps below.
Step 1: Obtain the DNS Values
- Login to Blogger and go to your blog to edit
- Click on Settings -> Basic
- Under Publishing, click on +Setup a 3rd party URL for your blog
- Enter your domain name (e.g., www.example.com)
- Click Save
- This will return two CNAME records to be created.
Step 2: Create the DNS Pointing Record (1st CNAME)
- Login to your Control Panel at https://www.misk.com/cp/
- Click on your Domain Name
- Point the domain
- For the main domain (i.e., www.example.com)
- Under Essentials in the top area, click Website
- Click CNAME / Hostname
- For a subdomain (e.g., blog.example.com)
- Under Essentials in the top area, click DNS
- Click Add Record and select CNAME
- Enter the Subdomain you want (e.g., blog)
- For the main domain (i.e., www.example.com)
- Enter ghs.google.com as the hostname
- Click Save
Step 3: Create the Verification Record (2nd CNAME)
- Click Add Record again and select CNAME
- Enter the Subdomain as what Blogger lists for the Name (string of numbers and/or letters)
- Enter the Hostname as what Blogger lists for the Destination (gv-...etc)
- Click Save
Step 4: Complete with Blogger
- Return to Blogger and go to your blog to edit
- Click on Settings -> Basic
- Under Publishing, click on +Setup a 3rd party URL for your blog
- Enter your domain name (e.g., www.example.com)
- Click Save
